CP violation studies in the Bs system. Dr. Marco Rescigno The CDF experiment recently measured the frequency of Bs-Bsbar meson oscillations, thus contributing an important constraint on possible new physics effects in Bs oscillations. The last remaining issue to estabilish is the measurement of the possible CP violation effects in Bs-Bsbar oscillations. Experimental information can be obtained either from lifetime differences in Bs meson decays, or in direct time dependent CP violation measurements in Bs decays to CP conjugate states. The student can join the current effort of the Rome group in both type of measurements. Period: after september 8. |
