I will provide an introduction to perturbative QCD calculations at hadron colliders. In particular, I will describe several recent next-to-leading order predictions and discuss their role in anayzing current and future experimental data. Topics covered will include the production of a vector boson in association with jets and also processes involving a single top quark.
