Littlest Higgs Model and W Pair Production at ILC P. Poulose (Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India) Even after the great success of the Standard Model (SM) of particle physics at LEP, we still lack an understanding of the Electroweak Symmetry Breaking mechanism. In the standard Higgs mechanism new physics is expected at TeV scales inorder to protect the higgs mass from obtaining huge higher order corrections, known as the hierarchy problem. There had been a number of alternatives which have taken the attention of phenomenologists. One of recent interest in this direction is known under the name of Little Higgs models. In this scenario the physical Higgs particle is a pseudo-Nambu Goldstone Boson of some approximate global symmetry breaking. Since the gauge boson interactions are affected by changes in the scalar sector, the phenomenology of gauge boson interactions give important signatures of the mechanism of electroweak symmetry breaking. In this talk we will discuss the observational effects of the littlest higgs model in the process e+e- ----> W+W- at the proposed ILC. |
