Ignoring the hierarchy problem

A. Romanino (CERN)

I discuss the possibility that the hierarchy problem is not relevant to TeV physics. A split supersymmetric model then emerges from an approach based on empirical data. I explore the phenomenology of such a model and show that it naturally follows from a specific pattern of supersymmetry breaking.
