The MQC group was born originally to detect and study quantum coherence and decoherence in a Macroscopic Quantum System (MQS). Its aim was to observe the time evolution of the coherent superposition of two distinct states in a symmetric double well potential.

The experience built on MQS led to start our current project, the SQC Experiment, on Solid State Quantum computing , namely the study of computing solid state systems in which bits and gates are governed by the laws of quantum mechanics, using Superconducting interference devices.
