Detailed Description

A speedier root file reader module.

Reads a limited subset of variables from single or multiple ROOT data files. With this reader, you should NOT use normal diana filters. Instead, you should use a root cuts file or simply enter your cuts string directly in the config file. This reader currently has three modes:

• "calib" is intended for use with the modules MCalCoefficients and MCalCompatibility
• "stab" is for modules MFindCDiscontinuities and MFitAmpBaseline
• "corc" is for use with the CORC modules

If you have a module which uses only a limited subset of variables and does not write modified QEvents to an output file (only writes text or global root file), you can request a new mode for your module. Contact lkogler@berkeley.edu.

• Config example:

     reader QuickFileReader
     verbosity = debug

     ReadFilesList = true
     InputFileName = test.root
     InputFilesList = cfg/filelist.list

     Mode = stab

• Parameters:
  • ReadFilesList [bool = false] reads multiple files: if true reads the list of files contained in InputFilesList if false reads the single file specified with InputFileName
  • InputFileName [string = NODEFAULT]: single input ROOT file
  • InputFilesList [string = NODEFAULT]: ascii file with one filename per row. Only rows inclosed beetwen the "START" and "END" tag are read. Set DATAPATH to the directory that contains your files.
    
  • DeleteInputFiles [ bool = false]: delete input files once all events have been read.
  • UseCutsFile [bool = false] If this is true, the string specified by "Cuts" will be ignored and the cuts will be read from file instead.
  • CutsFileName [string = NODEFAULT]
  • Cuts [string = ""]: Cuts string in standard root format.
  • Mode [string = ""]: Current options are "calib" for calibration, "stab" for stabilization, or "corc" for CORC. Choose according to your needs. Example filelist.list:
