FROM SOLID STATE PHYSICS TO PROTEIN DYNAMICS AND FUNCTION: SOME RECOLLECTION
In this seminar I recollect the various topics which have been subject of my scientific
interests; these evolved from Solid State Physics (formation of volume photographic
image in silver halide crystals), to various aspects of Biological Physics ranging from
mechanisms of repair of UV damages on DNA, to protein dynamics in suspension
media of different composition and hydrogen bonding capabilities. In particular, I will
sketch out the challenges that lead me to jump among the various problematic.
