Director

The director of the INFN Rome unit is Paolo Valente. Paolo Valente is research director at INFN Rome since 2003. He has worked on experiments on the physics of K mesons, KLOE in Frascati and NA62 at CERN, and on the search for light dark matter, in particular is one of the founders of the PADME experiment. He is a member of the UA9 collaboration and he has been initiator and scientific manager of the LNF Beam-Test Facility. He has been member of INFN Board of Directors representing researchers and then of the university and research Ministry. Since July 2023 he is the director of the Rome unit. Since June 2021 he is secretary of the Council of presidents of the Italian research centers, CoPER.
