Mechanical design
The SPM service provides support for the conceptual mechanical design of apparatuses for experiments in which the institution participates, by leveraging software tools for computer-aided design (CAD), and evaluating and conducting the structural verification of mechanical components through the use of an FEM numerical code.
The final design provides the executive drawing to internal and external workshops; testing and the correct construction of mechanical parts and installation phases of equipment follow.
