CUPID

CUPID is a next-generation experiment searching for Majorana neutrinos. The detector is an array of crystals with simultaneous readout of calorimetric signal and scintillation light. It will be installed in the (world largest) dilution refrigerator which today hosts the CUORE experiment, at the National Gran Sasso Laboratories (L’Aquila, Italy).

The large deployed mass, excellent energy resolution, and radio purity offered by the CUPID detector will allow to reach a leading sensitivity on the search for Majorana neutrinos and on many other processes due to New Physics beyond the Standard Model.
